Dr. David E. Lilienfeld is Principal at Write for the Pharm, LLC. Dr. Lilienfeld received his medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed a residency in preventive medicine at the Minnesota Department of Health. During that residency, he co-founded the University of Minnesota program in pharmacoepidemiology. While on faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Lilienfeld consulted with several pharmaceutical companies concerning safety signals associated with their products. He subsequently joined the EMMES Corporation and developed its epidemiology capabilities, following which he joined FMAS as its medical director to broaden his expertise in outcomes epidemiology and pharmacoeconomics. Subsequently, he joined the Bristol-Myers Squibb pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance group. Since 2003, he has been on the West Coast pharmacovigilance departments in companies ranging from start-ups through multi-national organizations with several approved products on the market. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Lilienfeld is trained as an engineer (MS Engineering from Johns Hopkins University) and in epidemiology (MPH from the University of Minnesota). He also has a MBA in health care management, also from Johns Hopkins University.
